EDITORIAL TRANSPARENCY

Open sources.
Clear criteria.

This is a survey of public records found online through 27 October 2026. It is neither an official court certificate nor a complete list of all existing cases.

English translation of the Portuguese edition. Source labels are translated; linked documents remain in their original language. Brazilian legal terms are described in context.

01

What the archive includes

Only proceedings against Flávio Bolsonaro that are ongoing or have a judgment or sanction without documented closure. Closed, archived, annulled, time-barred, acquitted or dismissed cases and requests without a confirmed opening are not displayed. Status reflects the latest source located; records are not a count of crimes.

02

How the facts are presented

Court, prosecution service and Senate sources take priority. Identified news reports supplement the record. Allegations are attributed to those who made them; decisions and defense responses appear in the same record.

03

What the research cannot establish

Sealed files, unindexed cases and unpublished decisions may be absent. “Latest record” means the most recent source located for that entry. Unconfirmed outcomes are explicitly identified. Published editions include only verified changes.

04

Weekly updates by AI

An AI agent is scheduled to review and update the website weekly. It researches new developments, updates summaries and the status of proceedings, and removes closed cases from view. Severity classifications and counts are reviewed in light of documented information, keeping the Portuguese and English versions equivalent.

READING GUIDE

Words that change the meaning.

Under investigation

A person whose possible involvement is being examined. This status alone does not establish guilt.

Criminal complaint and defendant

Prosecutors may submit a criminal complaint (denúncia). In Brazilian criminal proceedings, a person becomes a defendant (réu) when the court accepts that complaint.

Closure and invalidation

The grounds matter. Rejection of a criminal complaint and invalidation of evidence are not equivalent to a judgment on the merits of the allegation.

Civil, electoral and criminal

A civil damages award or an electoral fine should not be described as a criminal conviction. Each type of proceeding has its own purpose.
